Belt Rank Requirments 

In order to maintain top standards, only Certified Instructors 2nd Dan Black Belt or higher can teach classes; all uncertified individuals can only assist in classes under the direction of a certified instructor. To become certified as a GMA instructor, you must pass a background check, complete a yearly SafeSport exam, a coaching exam, rules seminars, and attend instructor training classes every month to maintain teaching credentials.  Only Master's 5th Dan Black Belts or Higher can test black belts - Any 4th Dan Black Belt or Higher must test infront of several Grandmasters level 1 internationally certified examiners. 


White to Bo Levels: 3 months in rank - Curriculum and class time requirements must be completed: 



Instructor Levels: 

Minimum Time Requirement at each level is listed below. Approval is based on understanding the curriculum and final exam approval; some students may take longer. 


Leadership Training Instructor Level for Children: (3.0gpa +)
Blue Red Belts to Bo Levels 

Assistant Instructors for Children / Young Teens: (3.0gpa +)
1st Poom  Junior Black Belt Level  - 10yr to 15 Yrs Old -  Minimum Time Required 3.5 - 8yrs

Assistant Instructors Juniors (3.0gpa +)
 2nd Poom Junior Black Belt Level  - 10yr to 15 Yrs Old -  Minimum Time Required (2-3yrs)  5 to 8 Years Total Training

Training Instructors Level 1
Blue Red to Bo Belt - 16 yr / Adult Levels- Minimum Time Required (2-4yrs) 2 to 4 Years Total Training

Training Instructors  Level 2
1st Dan Black Belt  - 16 yr / Adult Levels- Minimum Time Required (3.5-4yrs)  4 Years Total Training

Certified Instructors 
2nd Dan Black  - 18yrs + - Minimum Time Required in rank (3yrs)  6 to 8 Years Total Training

Certified Instructor: 
3rd Dan Black Belts  -  Minimum Time Required in rank (3yrs)  7 to 10 Years Total Training

Certified Senior Instructors: 
4th Black Belts - Minimum Time Required  (4yrs)  15 - 17 Years Total Training (Minimum Age 25 Years Old). If a poom level ( Junior black Belt is attained at a young age, then a person can attain a 4th Dan Black Belt by age 20. But a 5th Dan Black Belt is a level that can not be attained until the age of 30 minimum.

5th Black Belts - Minimum Time Required in rank  (5yrs) 18 - 20 Years Total Training - ( Minimum Age 30 Years Old)

Certified Master Level  Instructors: 
6th Black Belts - Minimum Time Required in rank (6yrs) -  23 to 25 Years Total Training 

Certified Master Level  Instructors: 
7th Black Belts - Minimum Time Required  in Rank (7 Yrs)   28 - 32 Years Total Training 

Certified Master Level  Instructors: 
8th Black Belts - Minimum Time Required  (8yrs- 10yrs)  40 Years Total Training ( Minimum Age 52 Years Old) 

Certified Master Level  Instructors: 
9th Black Belts - Minimum Time Required  (8yrs- 10yrs)  50 Years Total Training ( Minimum Age 60 Years Old)

GMA Gallatin parents and children love our program. The tuition value can't be beat for all of the benefits a child gains in our program.  

Once you register and pay the $175.00 registration/start-up fee, we will enroll you in our system. The registration fee includes the first week plus registration. (Once the form is completed, you will be redirected to PayPal to complete your payment.) * Due to limited space, There are No Refunds

Our ASP GMS director will call you to schedule a private meeting. It is essential to schedule your appointment by calling 731-324-3850, as space is limited. The director will provide you with all the necessary paperwork at the meeting, allowing you to complete the ASP registration.


* You are not fully registered until the packet is completed at the school, but the $175 registration fee will hold your spot. We can not pick up your child until you complete the registration packet at the school.

GMA-ASP Policy:

Weekly Tuition $110 per week: (Extended Care Available Extra Fee) To hold your position on weeks off from school, summer breaks, fall breaks, and holidays, there is a weekly $40 maintenance fee to hold your position. The maintenance fee keeps the tuition rates down and saves your spot.  As an added benefit, the maintenance fee also includes weekly martial arts training classes during the off seasons and seasonal breaks. Please note: We do not prorate short school weeks, inclement weather-closed days or sick personal days. You must call the school before 1pm if your child is not attending or does not need to be picked up on a specific day.  If a driver has to wait or have a teacher search for a child, there is a $10 no-call fee. GMA also offers Summer camps and  Fall / Spring camps if there is enough interest.
